- I went swimming last week! My goal is to only go once a week, mainly because the timing is so bad (I can only get a lane at 9 p.m.!). But something is better than nothing, right? Man, it felt good, too. I forgot how much of a whole body workout swimming is! I was a little sore the next day and it was lovely.
- I’ve been better about eating veggies, too. I actually realized that almost every night, I have veggies incorporated in my dinner (soups, chili, stir-fry). And I also bought carrots to snack on – oh, how I love carrots + garlic hummus!
- Sleep. ooooh, sleep. I’ve been better on this front, but not perfect. I had one night last week that I got 6 hours of sleep, and the other nights I averaged probably 7 hours. An improvement, though, for sure!
- I’ve been very good on the new recipe front! I’ve been making one or two new recipes a week. My favorite thing about this time of year is that I can bake up a storm and have places to take them to!

And…I feel so embarrassed/ashamed, but yes, I was also arrested. :-( Please know it’s NOT something I’m proud of, for sure. Perhaps this will be a future post….
So, no – I did not do a dance routine to “Baby Got Back.” Though wouldn’t that be hilarious?! My mom actually took that “tape” (ha! I’m old) away from me in the 6th or 7th grade because of the lyrics. Hmmm. Can’t say as I blame her looking back.
So, this is a SHOCKER, but I made new muffins this weekend! I don’t know what I love making them…but I do. I took them to St. Louis and every last one of them was eaten. They were a hit!
They kind of tasted like apple crisp – yum, yum!! AND they made my house smell heavenly.
