Sausage Fest

Ahhh….Saturday.  My favorite day of the week!

All of the Christmas decorations are up…

This is one of my favorite pictures.  I keep it up year-round, but it’s perfect for this time of year.  This is my dad and 2 of his 5 siblings.  My dad is the boy in the middle, looking at the camera.  Aren’t old pictures the best?  I smile whenever I look at this picture.

005

And of course I love anything with my name in it.  (Best time of year for my name!)

008

I don’t have that many Christmas decorations, but I’m more of a minimalist when it comes to Christmas decorations.

Kind of the opposite of this guy.

christmas

My 2nd favorite Christmas movie, BTW!  Can you guess the first?

I LOVE Christmas!!!!!  Anyway, onto food.

I ’d read on Stephanie’s blog that these sausages were out of this world…imagine my surprise when I actually found them at my store!

002

Ladies and gents, this is a winner!

SO easy. Just sautéed them up and threw them in a wrap.  So nice to have something yummy and quick for those nights when you don’t feel like heating up the same leftoverscooking.

What’s your new (or old) favorite go-to meal?  This is mine for sure…I’m a sucker for anything I can throw in a wrap.

Hope you’re all having a great Saturday!  One more day to send in your BSI Recipe…and a little spoiler as to what the prize may be:

  1. I carry around an old picture of my dad (he was like 5) in my wallet. It makes me smile when I forget it’s in there and randomly see it.

  2. Yay! I love your decorations! My fave Christmas movie is White Christmas. Is that your #1 too? :)

Our go-to meal is a boca sandwich or leftovers. Luckily, we have been able to make a lot of amazing meals lately and eat those instead of boca :)

  3. movie guesses: a christmas story or elf

love your tree, its soooo beautiful! :)

decorating for holidays is fun but stressful too!

  4. I’m so glad you liked those chicken sausages! They are actually a part of one of my fave go-to meals mixed in with some Annie’s mac n’ cheese + frozen veggies, yes please :)

  5. Your Christmas decorations look wonderful!! So funny b/c our stockings are the same exact colors as your’s!!! I’ll have to take a pic sometime to prove it, haha! :)

I agree, old pictures are the best!! I love looking at my grandma’s old pictures and imagining what those people were like and how they might have been the same/different from me. So cool! :)

I’m gonna guess Elf as your fave Christmas movie. I love National Lampoon Christmas too!! I had never seen it until I met Andrew – he makes us watch it every year while we decorate our tree!! :)

  6. You just motivated me to go get all my Christmas boxes out of my basement! I want my house looking all ready for the holidays too!

I love Elf and National Lampoons.

    happiness awaits

  7. I just saw those sausages at Mejier when visiting my parents this weekend. I should have bought some since our stores don’t carry them here. I think Real Simple magazine rated them as one of the best chicken sausages available. I love to eat chicken sausages with frozen pieorgies and veggies. A one skillet meal that takes less than 10 minutes.

  8. Christmas Vacation….BEST HOLIDAY MOVIE of all times! :) The alfresco sausages are very good. The apple ones are are really good
